Playstation 4 ( PS4 ) a fost anuntat oficial de catre Sony. Este consola de jocuri de generatia a 4-a de la binecunoscutului producator, cea mai avansata la ora actuala. Chiar acum se transmite live direct de la PlayStation Meeting 2013.
Au imbunatatit foarte mult umbrele, iluminarea, refexia / refractia luminii. Probabil au inclus DirectX 11 in firmware. Jocurile par mai naturale, dar parca ma asteptam la mai mult.
PlayStation 4 va avea un CPU x86-64 AMD "Jaguar", 8 cores 8GB memorie unificată, un hard disk și va folosi memorie GDDR5. Va avea controler cu senzor de miscare gen PS Move, cu un buton Share, cu touchpad (?) si microfon (?).
Lansarea PS4 va fi cel mai probabil de sarbatorile de Iarnă, probabil de Crăciun 2013.
